The School Day

The school office is open from 8.30am-3.40pm each day.

Pupils are not permitted onto the school site before 8.45am in the mornings (unless they are attending Breakfast Club at 8am) and should be collected promptly at the end of the school day at 3.20pm or after a school club. There is no supervision before 8.45am (except Breakfast Club) and pupils should wait with their parents at the wooden pedestrian gate outside the school premises.

8.45am: Pupils come onto the school site via the pedestrian gate at the top of Pearse Place. Parents say goodbye here and pupils can proceed straight to their classrooms. Reception pupils can meet their 'Year 6 Buddies' at the pedestrian gate and they will be escorted to their classroom door.

8.45-8.55am: Registration

8.55-9.15am: Morning class work/activities

9.15-9.30am: Assembly

10.30am: Snack time for all pupils.

10.40-10.55: Playtime for all pupils.

12.00: Class 1 - lunch

12.05/10: Class 2 & 3 - lunch

12.15: All other classes - lunch

1.15pm: End of lunchtime

3.20pm: End of school day (Year R, 1 & 2 come out of class with their teachers at 3.15pm)

Please Note

Parents are requested to take responsibility for their children including younger siblings at the end of the school day. No children should play ball games or be on the slide or playground equipment.

All YrR, Yr1 and Yr2 pupils are handed over to parents by staff.

Yr3, Yr4, Yr5 and Yr6 pupils are dismissed from class and are expected to go straight to their parents/carers. If they cannot find the person picking them up they must go straight to either the teacher on duty at the gate or to the office. They must not leave the site with any other adult without permission from their teacher or the school office.

Pupils who attend after school clubs are the responsibility of the respective coaches. Parents are requested to arrive in good time to collect from clubs as many coaches have other commitments after the school sessions.
